The workshop of the Czech optical cluster, held as part of the IDET trade fair in Brno, Optics for Armed Forces and Industrial Cooperation confirmed the significance and importance of optics for defense purposes. The Czech Republic has great innovation potential and know-how in this area. Cooperation is the key to success in facing new challenges not only within the Czech Republic, but also at the international level.
As part of the workshop, we signed a cooperation agreement with the Defense and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic. It is another important step for sharing information about new technological trends in the field of optics and their potential use in the defense segment, and thus follows on from the memorandum of cooperation that the Czech Optical Cluster signed with the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic in April.
The aim of the Agreement with the Defense and Security Industry Association is to strengthen the innovation potential and competitiveness of the defense and security industry in the Czech Republic while creating a defense technological and industrial base in the EU. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Czech optical cluster by Silvie Skyvová, chairwoman of the executive board, and Jiří Hynek, on behalf of AOBP, by president Jiří Hynek.
Thanks go to the co-organizer of the workshop, the University of Defense, and also to all the participants.
