On June 27 – June 30, 2023, the Czech Optical Cluster, together with the HiLASE Center of the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the Institute of Instrumentation of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, participated in the Laser World of Photonics exhibition in Munich, Germany, which is the world’s leading trade fair for components, systems and applications in the field of photonics.
The Czech footprint at this world-famous event was large, and other members of ours also presented themselves at their exhibitions, such as Meopta – optika s.r.o., Crytur, asphericon s.r.o. or TOPTEC Research Center for Special Optics and Optoelectronic Systems. We also mediated to our members NETWORK GROUP, s.r.o., LaserTherm spol. s.r.o. and Narran s.r.o. obtaining NOVUMM KET support implemented by the CzechTrade agency, which provides support in the form of a preferential service for the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises in foreign exhibitions and fairs with a focus on the field of key technologies.
This year’s Laser World of Photonics welcomed more than 1,300 exhibitors and around 40,000 visitors. And you can read about this year’s exhibition in the press release: Press release
The background of our stand was an excellent opportunity to meet our partners and present our activities.
The Laser challenge and cooperation workshop, organized by the Czech Optical Cluster with the aim of supporting international cooperation, was part of the fair’s program. From the foreign clusters, we had the opportunity to get to know the Lithuanian cluster LITEK, Photonics Austria, Photonics Finland or the Polish Technological Platform on Photonics. We also presented the expected technological trends for laser technologies and applications, which were interestingly prepared by Martina Řeháková from the HiLase Center.
From the representatives of the Czech optical cluster, the Institute of Instrumentation Technology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Network Group s.r.o., LaserTherm, asphericon s.r.o., Research Center for Special Optics and Optoelectronic Systems TOPTEC also presented their activities and possibilities.
The Laser World of Photonics trade fair has been taking place since 1973 and combines the latest topics in research, technology and applications in the field of lasers and photonics. In addition, it also deals with other important industries such as materials processing, measurement, testing and monitoring, optical data transmission and lasers in medicine.
