On 29.11. a member meeting of the members of the Czech optical cluster took place on the occasion of 6 years since its foundation. The whole event took place in Olomouc in the very interesting environment of the Fortress of Knowledge.
The introductory part of the program was a members’ meeting, at which, among other things, the action plan for the year 2024 was approved and the fortieth member of the Czech optical cluster, Magna Lighting Czech, was accepted.
This was followed by the workshop “Technical Education Support and Cooperation with Schools”, where participants learned about the role of the Czech Optical Cluster in supporting education, cooperation opportunities, the development of the labor market and requirements for changing the educational process and other interesting topics. A member of our cluster, Forvia Hella, has introduced a long-standing trainee program. A very interesting part of the workshop was the panel discussion, which developed into a very effective conversation about support and cooperation in education. The entire meeting was concluded with a networking evening.
“The members’ meeting on the 6th anniversary of the cluster’s founding approved the action plan for 2024, and I am personally pleased that we have grown to 40 members when we welcomed Magna Lighting Czech to our ranks”
The workshop Supporting technical education and cooperation with schools only confirmed the long-term need for technically educated workers. The panel discussion was a very interesting opportunity to look at the issue of education in our country from different points of view. Supporting education will be one of our priorities in the future. We have several prerequisites for this, on the one hand, we are an independent and stable industry platform, we have a strong membership base of 40 members.
And perhaps the most important prerequisite is the willingness to participate in this cooperation. We will strive to create a working group, bringing together selected members and other entities (industry clusters, innovation centers, companies, regions, etc.) with the aim of setting up a meaningful educational environment in selected regions. It’s not an easy activity, but we’ll try it.” Petr Přikryl, manager of the Czech Optical Cluster, evaluated the successful event.
