On April 16, 2024, the third meeting of the members of the Czech optical cluster, called “With each other “, took place.
The aim of the concept “Between each other” is to facilitate mutual cooperation between the members of the cluster, both business and research and development. The number of members of the Czech optical cluster is growing, there are already 39 of us. With this number, it is not easy to have an overview of all members, and the potential for mutual cooperation will thus remain unused. “Between themselves” is trying to improve this situation.
Martin Vala introduced EVPÚ Defense a.s., which deals with the production, service and modifications of thermal imaging, daytime optical devices for civil and military use. They can offer members of the Czech Optical Cluster the use of their laboratories and the possibility of high-precision measurements. They would also like to establish cooperation within the development of electro-optical devices.
Aleš Hála presented the world’s leading research facility The Extreme Light Infrastructure ERIC (ELI Beamlines) focused on the research of high-intensity lasers with short pulses. They focus on the construction of lasers as such, the production of X-rays, the acceleration of particles. ELI Beamlines offers COC members joint research projects, testing, training for researchers and technicians. It already cooperates with members of Crytur and Rigaku, for example.
